Ward Chapel AME Church legacy courtyard — 420 17th Street — across from Cairo Public Library.
African American Troops Monument, intersection of Washington and Sycamore.
St. Mary’s Park — off 28th Street — about 50 yards from the swings.
Downtown Cairo — Heritage Park pavilion area — across from bandstand on Commercial Street, between 8th and 9th Streets.
HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST:
1. Gather your family, co-workers, classmates, pets, friends and any props you want to use and head over to one of the above TCHPP bench locations (or all four)!
2. Using the bench in the pic, take a digital photo on your phone or camera of yourself and/or others that would fit the description:
“Cairo — Home is where the heart is.”
It can be funny, inspiring, or serious — props and pets are allowed! Just be creative!
3. Submit as many digital photos as you wish to this email address:
support@historicalcairo.com
Please include:
